New Blog

Alright, I'm probably going to start a new blog, here, in the near future. It'll be a way for my family and you jerks to keep up with my hijinks in Iraq.

I just can't for the life of me figure out what to name it. Nick said he had a good idea, but he forgot it. Way to go.

Anyway, post suggestions herein, please.

"The bums will always lose."

Sorry about the no Halo 2 playing lately, Jeeb. My XBOX is in a box in my parts room on the back of a 5 ton on a barge on its way to Doha, Kuwait. So it'll be awhile. Probably a year or more, unless we can get a cable modem over there, which I seriously doubt.

I read a while back, and Nick and I were discussing it as well, how funny it is that places like Iraq are skipping right over phone lines and going right to cellular. Isn't that weird? In America, we had a very linear progression: horses, telegraph, telephone, cellular, internet. Iraq is going right from horses (or cars) to cell phones for communication. Soon all of Iraq will have internet too. It's like going from horses to ansible, skipping all the spaces in between.

I wanted to let you guys know, too, that I'm thinking of setting up a new blog while I'm there. I want to be able to keep my family updated without them having to go to a site with the word "fuck" in the address.

Anyway, you guys keep it real. I start my last little block of leave in a week. I am almost dreading it.

So here, fuckers!!

Alright, here are some pictures of me. The guys at PW wanted to see me (or so they said), so I showed them THESE.

Ed, you need to show me you in your 82nd garb. I'd love to see a REAL paratrooper.
